2010 BOOST Scholarship Recipients
The BOOST Conference is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2010 BOOST Conference Scholarship Program. All three individuals showed great dedication and care for their programs and the youth they work with. We commend their work and are honored to present them with this scholarship.
“Thank you very much for honoring me with a Scholarship to the 2010 BOOST Conference. I attended interesting workshops on a variety of topics including Global Education, Youth Media, Resource Development, and trends in Federal Funding for After School Programs. I gained invaluable knowledge and resources to implement in my work with youth and share with my colleagues. I was also excited to meet and network with other Out of School Time professionals and learn about all the amazing youth development work that is happening across the country. I left feeling re-energized and inspired to continue my work with youth and develop innovative programming to best support youth during Out of School Time.”

“Thanks to the BOOST Scholarship, I was able to attend the BOOST Conference in Palm Springs for the first time this year. As someone relatively new to afterschool, I recognize I still have a lot to learn and BOOST was a fabulous venue to do so. There was a huge selection of sessions offered and I was very impressed with the ones I attended. There were lots of opportunities to network, and I came away with valuable contacts and even new friends. I was able to browse products offered by the exhibitors, including curriculum my organization later purchased. I came back rejuvenated, excited and full of ideas. (The Palm Springs setting doesn't hurt either!). I would highly recommend the BOOST Conference to anyone involved with out of school time programming.”
