This section includes scholarship opportunities for the LGBTQ community and/or children of lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender persons, as well as scholarships for students who collaborate and serve the LGBTQ community.
Audria M. Edwards Scholarship Fund
Audria M. Edwards Scholarship Fund was established in 1987 by her children, Woody Johnson a.k.a. Lady Elaine Peacock and Misty Waters. The Scholarship is administered by Peacock Productions Inc. and is available to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community and/or the children of gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender persons who reside in Oregon and/or Southwest Washington.
The Dillenkoffer Endowment
The Dillenkoffer Endowment was formed to support gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered teens with college tuition grants in Kansas and Missouri.
eQuality Scholarship Collaborative
The eQuality Scholarship Collaborative awards scholarships to honor and encourage northern and central California students for their service to the lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender community.
Iowa’s 2010 Matthew Shepard Scholarship Program
Openly LGBT Iowa high school seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale, an ACT score of 22 or better, demonstrable LGBT activism and community service, and a history of high moral and ethical standards and conduct.
The KarMel Scholarship was created to encourage students to write/create something that will express their views on the gay/lesbian/bi/transgender topic. It is designed to challenge students to create something unique and to showcase the many talented artisans/writers.
Live Out Load Scholarships
The LIVE OUT LOUD Educational Scholarship was created to provide financial support for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) youth who are pursuing a college degree. Through this scholarship, LGBT youth can apply for monies to pay for educationally related expenses to pursue a degree from an accredited college, university, or technical/vocational program. This year LIVE OUT LOUD is awarding 4 scholarships for $ 2,500.00 each.
