Thank you very much for honoring me with a Scholarship to the 2010 BOOST Conference. I attended interesting workshops on a variety of topics including Global Education, Youth Media, Resource Development, and trends in Federal Funding for After School Programs. I gained invaluable knowledge and resources to implement in my work with youth and share with my colleagues. I was also excited to meet and network with other Out of School Time professionals and learn about all the amazing youth development work that is happening across the country. I left feeling re-energized and inspired to continue my work with youth and develop innovative programming to best support youth during Out of School Time.

Thanks to the BOOST Scholarship, I was able to attend the BOOST Conference in Palm Springs for the first time this year. As someone relatively new to afterschool, I recognize I still have a lot to learn and BOOST was a fabulous venue to do so. There was a huge selection of sessions offered and I was very impressed with the ones I attended. There were lots of opportunities to network, and I came away with valuable contacts and even new friends. I was able to browse products offered by the exhibitors, including curriculum my organization later purchased. I came back rejuvenated, excited and full of ideas. (The Palm Springs setting doesn't hurt either!). I would highly recommend the BOOST Conference to anyone involved with out of school time programming.
